Step 2 of 3 : Remove the Old Keypad
There'll be two notches along the bottom of the keypad, they've moved around over the years, but they should be pretty obvious. Press them in with any small pointy object, the bottom of the keypad should rotate up. Fairly new keypads also require a little prying at side notches on either side of the keypad. Once the bottom comes free the top of the keypad will un-hook from the backplate and the keypad will be hanging by its wiring. Snip each wire free, starting with the red conductor. Lastly, remove the keypad backplate, it should mounted to the wall with four screws.
