The type of wire typically used in alarm installation is a 22 gauge four conductor. Its four conductors are colored red, black, yellow, and green. This is where the color designations on the control panel and keypad terminals originate. Simply connect color to color between the keypad and control. Multiple keypads wire in parallel across the keypad terminals of the control, so if you have four keypads there'll be four reds under the red terminal, four blacks under the black terminal etc.
